The Zeta Pi Chapter includes women educators from Vista, Fallbrook, Bonsall, and San Marcos. Contact President Aud Henderson for more information about chapter events and membership.

We’ve had great attendance at our fun and busy Chapter meetings and Board meetings. Our ladies are fully engaged with their own committees and offer so many creative ideas. Ideas continue to flow at Board meetings. It has made my presidency such a joy! Typical of teachers, our members jump in to serve in whatever way they can…and often when they’ve just exited from the hospital! Truly amazing.
In January, Sandy Bell provided a fantastic meeting to inform us about Global Awareness and opportunities we have to help children and women in the U.S. or other parts of the world. Now that our treasury has grown, we feel more financially generous! Furthermore, we decided to offer a financial incentive to recruit new members: if a lady chooses to join our Chapter in December, we pay half her dues. We were delighted to apply this new plan to Michele Earnest, who was initiated at our fun Christmas party. It was a beautiful setting in Carrie’s decorated home.
This is Carrie Gamble’s big year—she will be honored at the California State Convention Saturday night banquet as the state’s Outstanding Public Service Award winner. We thank Area X for honoring Carrie with a half-page ad in the convention program. Merci beaucoup!
Creative juices flow, and our Personal Growth Committee will be surprising us all with a “Mystery Tea Party” to be held at the home of Carrie Gamble on April 18th. The invitation goes out to all of you as well. You can contact me if you wish to attend: sallyak@mtaonline.net
Our February activity is filling Jared Boxes to be supplied to the military families. Very generously, the staff at the Military YMCA will be picking up the boxes from Vista. They’re so appreciative! Two of our members who have been ill will be receiving an “Adult Jared Box” filled with goodies and gifts from our members…a surprise, of course!
Zeta Pi would like to thank Stephanie Hurst, Gayle Case, and Dana Maybury and Lynette Lange for organizing such a wonderful Area X Celebration! This is always a highlight for so many members in our Area!
